WHERE TO BEGIN
We know you might be new to the world of early learning and education, and it can be difficult to understand where to begin.
At G8 Education, we offer a Certificate III Traineeship in Early Childhood Education, which allows you to work and study towards your qualification at the same time. This means you don’t have to pay any fees while you are studying, you are supported by a team of early learning professionals, including a dedicated Trainer and you can put your learning into practice through real-world experiences!
At the completion of your Traineeship, you will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Understand the fundamentals of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Support the implementation of an approved learning framework
- Ensure the health and safety of children
- Foster individual development and wellbeing
WHAT DOES THE ABOVE MEAN?
What role does an educator play?
This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia.
They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework.
Educators use a range of well-developed skills and knowledge using discretion and judgment when carrying out their work in the context of established policies and procedures. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be on-site.
As an educator, you will:
- Establish strong relationships with children to help them feel secure and confident
- Plan and deliver activities for children
- Respond to lots of amazing spontaneous moments
- Explain, question and demonstrate
- Assess how each child is doing and what they need to support their learning and development
- Play an incredibly important role in the lives of children
You will also have the opportunity to progress your career further in G8 Education’s Study Pathways Program.
