Do I attend a campus for my course training?

Our training providers deliver training via online modules and conducting regular centre visits.  If you prefer a classroom face to face learning environment, this might not be the best fit for you.  Please talk with your school if you have concerns.

What happens after I submit the Expression of Interest?

Your application will be assessed by our Study Pathways team.  We will liaise with your preferred centre locations to see if they have capacity to support a school based trainee.  If they do, the Study Pathways team will arrange a minimum 3 day work experience/work trial.  Please note a work experience trial does not guarantee a school based traineeship offer.

What course will I study?

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121).  This qualification consists of 17 units of competency.  You will need to commit 4 hours private study time to progress through the course within the timeframes.  Talk with your school about slotting in dedicated study times in your timetable to complete course materials.

Do I need a Working with Children Check?

All States (except under 18 years in NSW and VIC) require you to have a paid Working with Children Check.

We encourage our VIC and NSW school based trainees to apply for a Volunteer Working with Children Check.
