The Opportunity
The Health and Safety (WHS) Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Health and Safety team. This role involves maintaining accurate records, providing high levels of service to the national centre network and supporting the continuous review and improvement of systems of work to meet legal requirements. Reporting to the National Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, this role plays a crucial role in supporting safety and wellbeing for all team members across the national network.
This role is Full-Time on a 3month contract.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Monitor compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and legislation
Support the management of the corrective action database, monitor corrective actions and ensure sufficient records available to demonstrate completion
Assist in the development, review, continuous improvement and distribution of documented systems of work
Assist in the administration of the procurement management system for the Health, Safety and return to work team
Support the governance of incident investigations
Ensure correct documentation of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses are provided, stored and maintained
Assist in the coordination of meetings, distribute information for consultation and support the liaison between departments
Assist in managing the health and safety incident reporting system, ensuring incidents are logged and followed up appropriately

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent) is highly desirable
Prior experience in a Health and Safety or HR administration or support role.
Experience in maintaining Health and Safety or Human Resource records.
Knowledge of Incident investigation and corrective actions
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Highly Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Highly proficient in Sharepoint
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid working with children check
