The Opportunity
The Leasing Administrator is part of G8 Education’s National Property Department. They are an integral member of the Leasing Team and are responsible for supporting the National Leasing Manager in overseeing and tracking the leases of rental properties in the company’s portfolio. This role is a permanent full-time position based either at our Gold Coast Office, or Brisbane Office with the opportunity to work from home 2 – 3 days a week.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Receiving and checking all monthly rent and outgoings invoices to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with lease requirements, and ensuring rents are paid on time every month.
Management of the monthly rent register against agreed rent budgets.
Ongoing maintenance and constant updating of all lease activities within the lease management system (Nomos One).
Undertaking outgoings audits ensuring that lessors' outgoings estimates and actuals charged to the lessee are accurate as per the leases.
Recording, tracking, and reporting on critical lease dates including commencement dates, annual rent review/increase dates, market review dates, expiry dates, option exercise dates, and option commencement dates.
Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure all payments are made on time and expenses are coded correctly.
Liaising with landlords and property managers in relation to rent and outgoing invoices.
Preparation of all outgoing payments with relevant invoices accompanying payment for approval by the relevant authority.
Assist in the continuous improvement of processes.
Data entry and maintenance of relevant leasing data.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:
Proven experience in the administration of commercial property lease portfolios.
Excellent understanding of rent and outgoings payment processes.
Ability to handle high volume work and adhere to critical deadlines.
Proven experience using lease management software and/or database management.
Strong administration and Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work as part of a team (in this instance a small team within a large organisation).
Ability to analyse information and process payments as approved by the National Leasing Manager.
Excellent attention to detail and strong financial acumen.
