The Opportunity 

This role is Full-Time working 38 hours per week, on a 9-month contract, with the possibility to extend. 

Join one of Australia's leading early education providers and play a key role in supporting leaders across a large national workforce. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will partner with stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused advice on employee and industrial relations matters, helping to create positive workplace outcomes while minimising organisational risk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ER professional looking to further develop their expertise in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, working alongside experienced People & Culture professionals on a broad range of complex employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on performance management, misconduct, grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace investigations.
  • Interpret Awards, legislation, enterprise agreements and internal policies to deliver practical and compliant solutions.
  • Manage and support employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace complaints and employee concerns, ensuring fair and objective outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to manage complex and escalated people matters.
  • Support Fair Work and other employment-related matters, including conciliations and external complaints.
  • Assist with organisational projects, change initiatives, acquisitions and divestments from an ER perspective.

About You 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years' experience in Employee Relations and/or Industrial Relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and ER best practice.
  • Experience managing workplace investigations, performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation will be highly regarded.
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
