Buggles Brookfield Childcare on the hunt for an energetic and passionate Childcare Cook to join our vibrant, multicultural team of early childhood educators! If you’re all about bringing joy to the kitchen while nourishing growing minds and bodies, this is your chance to shine!
As our Childcare Cook, you’ll be the mastermind behind delicious, nutritious meals and snacks for kids aged 6 months to 5 years. You’ll collaborate with our amazing Educators and Centre Manager to design exciting, seasonal menus that cater to the kids’ tastes and dietary needs. From hot meals to creative snacks, you’ll be cooking up something special every day!
This role is Part time, working 25 hours/week from 8:00am t0 1:00pm.
About Us
Our menus are designed to meet nutritional standards while providing high-quality meals that support both the mental and physical growth of young children. As part of our team, you'll feel valued, appreciated, and be part of a positive, fun, and supportive work environment.
Our centre can accommodate up to 68 children and operates from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Conveniently located in the heart of Perth City, our centre is easily accessible by public transport via Elizabeth Quay or Perth Underground. We're also close to the City Library, food courts, and cafes.
Whip up daily meals & snacks that are healthy, delicious, and exciting for little taste buds.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure every meal is stored, prepared, and served with care and safety.
Create menus that cater to the kids’ dietary needs, including allergies and cultural preferences, making sure everyone is well-fed and happy.
Keep our kitchen sparkling clean and organized, while managing food stocks and kitchen supplies like a pro.
Work hand-in-hand with our Educators to help support the overall health, happiness, and well-being of the children in our care.
Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
A current Working with Children’s Check (or willing to get one)
Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
