The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented Cook to join our team at Great Beginnings Baldivis. In this role, you’ll work alongside our Cook to prepare nutritious and mouth watering meals and snacks for up to 119 children every day.

This is a part-time position, offering 25 hours a week (5 hours a day, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday), allowing you to enjoy a rewarding job while maintaining a great work-life balance.

Great Beginnings Baldivis provides flexible long day care and a vibrant kindergarten program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with extended hours designed to fit perfectly into the busy lives of modern families.

About You

• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• Experience in a cook/kitchenhand role
• A current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Our Requirements

• Demonstrated experience cooking in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting
• Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety regulations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
