Do you have experience in a kitchen environment with a love for healthy, child-friendly meals? We are seeking a passionate part-time Childcare Cook to join our team and support the nutritional needs of the children in our care.

As a Cook at Kool Kids Pacific Pines, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children ages 6 months to 5 years old. You will work closely with our current Centre Cook, Educators and the Centre Manager to plan menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of the children. 

We have a Coles supermarket right next door, a park within walking distance, onsite parking and public transport access.

This role is Part-Time working 14 hours per week, working 7:30-2:30pm 2 days per week, either Monday & Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (negotiable) 

At capacity our Centre caters for up to 132 children with operating hours from 6.30am to 6.30pm.

Your role

• Plan and prepare a mixture of hot meals, cold foods, sandwiches and snacks that are healthy, varied, and appealing to young children
• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and served safely, following all relevant food safety regulations
• Ensure menus meet the dietary needs of the children, including any allergies or cultural requirements
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including managing food and equipment inventory
• Collaborate with our Educators to support the overall health and well-being of the children

Our Requirements

• Demonstrated experience cooking in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting
• Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety regulations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
