Are you an experienced and passionate cook with a love for healthy, child-friendly meals? We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Cook to join our team and support the nutritional needs of the children in our care.
As a Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children ages 6 months to 5 years old. You will work closely with our Educators and the Centre Manager to plan menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of the children.
Kickstart your day with a 7 am start, joining our established and nurturing team. Explore the culinary world with pre-designed menus in our well-equipped, spacious kitchen.
Craft delightful morning tea, afternoon tea, and dinner offerings using innovative slow cooker and hot lunch recipes. We're situated conveniently close to Lynbrook's vibrant shops, charming cafes, and picturesque local parks. Plus, our proximity to the train station makes commuting a breeze.

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.
At capacity our centre caters for up to 110 children with operating hours from 6:30am 6:30pm.

Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks that are healthy, varied, and appealing to young children
Ensure all food is stored, handled, and served safely, following all relevant food safety regulations
Ensure menus meet the dietary needs of the children, including any allergies or cultural requirements
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including managing food and equipment inventory
Collaborate with our Educators to support the overall health and well-being of the children

Our Requirements
Demonstrated experience cooking in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting
Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety regulations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Successful Applicants must hold
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
A current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid
Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
