We are looking for an experienced Casual Cook to join the team at Great Beginnings Hammond Park to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for our children each day. 

Must have flexibility to travel across the region covering cooks! 

About Us

Great Beginnings Hammond Park is a vibrant early learning hub for families in Hammond Park, Aubin Grove, Success, and Wandi. We offer long day care and a kindergarten program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with flexible hours that cater to busy family life.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 86 children with operating hours from 630am to 6.30pm.

Our carefully crafted menus are designed to nourish both body and mind, meeting nutritional guidelines while ensuring every meal is a delicious step towards helping little ones grow strong and healthy.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements. 
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role is an advantage
