This role is pivotal in creating a quality early learning environment through our teams of early learning educators, teachers, and leaders who are uniquely placed to positively influence children’s futures.
As an experienced Area Manager, you are responsible for providing direction, coaching, and support to a team of Centre Managers to excel in quality care, development, and education of children all whilst achieving operational business objectives to succeed.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is supporting a portfolio of high-performing centre within the Sydney Western suburbs all whilst being an integral leader for the state’s wider operations. This role will see you promoting a culture that is aligned with G8 Core Values and Leadership Competencies and adheres to G8 policies and procedures and the National Quality Framework.
Your day-to-day
Drive team engagement through positive leadership and modelling of G8 Values.
Fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, teamwork, fairness, achievement, fun at work, and recognition.
Ensure Maximisation of your areas’ occupancy and revenue via local area marketing (LAM), enrolments and value add services.
Manages area full team ratio (FTR), considering required qualifications needed for positions.
Conducts regular Centre visits with clear agenda and desired outcomes. this would include site-wide travel.
Complete administrative tasks as requested by manager.
Participate in meetings, conferences, and training courses, as appropriate.
Resolves escalated complaints from families within approved time frames.
Supports Centre Managers to resolve outstanding matters.
Liaises with Support Office for functional support and information.
About You
With demonstrated proven experience in the Sector managing high-performing centres, ideally across multi-sites, you are an optimistic, enthusiastic, and values-driven leader that has a curious mindset and care-based nature. With a can-do attitude, willingness to challenge the status quo, and tenacity to succeed whilst demonstrating agility to readily adapt to environments where priorities can change quickly.
Some core requires are, but not limited to:
5+ years of leadership experience, preferably within the sector.
Centre Manager experience preferred but not mandatory.
Multisite or multichannel leadership experience preferred.
Employee engagement, coaching, and mentoring experience with proven ability to lead a dedicated team through innovation and transformation.
Passionate belief in the early years care, development, and education of children.
Demonstrated P&L, financial, and transaction accountability.
Approved working with children check as per New South Wales regulations and compliance.
First Aid and CPR Certificates.
Ideal, but not mandatory a Bachelor of Early Childhood and/or Services.
