Join our team at Great Beginnings Coverdale! We're on the lookout for an experienced cook to create wholesome meals for up to 104 children each day, all while running your own kitchen operation.

This Full-time role (38 hours per week with 30-minute lunch break) offers a perfect work-life balance with Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00 pm for 3 months commencing immediately.

About Us

Located in the heart of Cloverdale, our brand-new, purpose-built early learning centre is a convenient choice for families in Cloverdale, Belmont, Kewdale, Rivervale, Redcliffe, and Ascot. We provide high-quality long day care and a kindergarten program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with extended hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM to support busy families.

About You: The Culinary Artist We Need

You’re a kitchen virtuoso with expertise in:

• Menu Planning, Budgeting, and Stock Control – You craft cost-effective, high-quality meals with precision.

• Dietary & Allergy Requirements – You have a talent for creating safe, delicious meals that meet every need.

• Food Safety – You ensure a spotless, compliant kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations.

• Team Collaboration – You thrive in a team environment, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

You’re also ready to commit to set Monday to Friday shifts, bringing your best every day.

What We’re Looking For:

To join our culinary crew, you’ll need:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification) with hands-on experience in a cook role.

• Current Working with Children Check (or a willingness to apply).

• A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or the willingness to complete one).

• A shared passion for bringing learning to life and inspiring children to reach their full potential.
