The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a talented, professional and capable Senior Project Coordinator to join our National Capital Works team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide high-level administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of our Capital Works projects. You’ll coordinate a diverse portfolio, ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, within scope and budget, and in full compliance with G8 standards and legislative requirements. From planning through to completion, your attention to detail will help drive quality outcomes across our network.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively within the team with the supervision of line manager or National Capital Works Manager
Assist with project delivery and completion in times of high workloads or absence, and tasks associated with these
Under direction of line manager or National Capital Works Manager, assist in the maintenance and evolution of the Capital Works Programs reporting framework for respective projects
Consult and work with relevant Project Manager’s for clarity of project progression and update respective weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting
Maintain and monitor Capital Works management plans, program tools, and develop a range of other guides to improve and maintain the successful completion of all capital work programs / projects
Update and communicate with internal customers on status of works as required
Liaising with landlords to supply respective information ensuring consent of works
Liaising with local councils when required for compliance and site information
Consult with various databases including the Lease database to clarify information including Tenant / Landlord responsibility for works requested
Develop and foster internal customer relationships with Facilities, Operations (Centre, Area and Regional Managers), Legal, Quality and Risk (Quality Audit and Compliance, Legal), Finance (Commercial Review and Finance) and others as required
Support the Project managers in respective budget management to ensure expenditure on individual projects is kept within budget.
Generate and present regular reports as requested and review of Capital Works budget, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases.
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in a project administration or support role.
Qualifications in Business or Similar
Current Open Driver's Licence
Project management experience is highly regarded in Early Education or similar
Exceptional communication skills
High Level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite with strong level of usage on Excel and Sharepoint document control.
Demonstrates professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise work
Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and decision-making
Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
