The Opportunity
Research shows a child’s first five years are crucial to all future learning and development formed through the interactions, experiences, and relationships that the child makes. That is why a child’s involvement in a quality early learning program is so important. This role is pivotal in creating a quality early learning environment through our teams of early learning educators, teachers, and leaders who are uniquely placed to positively influence children’s futures.
As an experienced Area Manager, you are responsible for providing direction, coaching, and support to a team of Centre Managers to excel in quality care, development, and education of children all whilst achieving operational business objectives to succeed.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is supporting a portfolio of high-performing center's within Perth's Inner suburbs all whilst being an integral leader for the state’s wider operations. This role will see you promoting a culture that is aligned with G8 Core Values and Leadership Competencies and adheres to G8 policies and procedures and the National Quality Framework.
This a Full-Term Maximum Term Contract until 5th of January 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Drive team engagement through positive leadership and modelling of G8 Values.
Fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, teamwork, fairness, achievement, fun at work, and recognition.
Manages area full team ratio (FTR), considering required qualifications needed for positions.
Identifies and develops internal talent to provide bench strength across the area and region.
Demonstrates safety leadership and culture by re-enforcing safety values and behaviours.
Holds regular safety meetings and discussions with Centre Managers and teams.
Ensure all policies and procedures are in practice across all Centres.
Monitors curriculum and education programs to company standards and the National Quality Framework.
Ensure Maximisation of your areas’ occupancy and revenue via local area marketing (LAM), enrolments and value add services.
Participate in meetings, conferences, and training courses, as appropriate.
Conducts regular Centre visits with clear agenda and desired outcomes.
Supports Centre Managers to resolve outstanding matters.
About You
Diploma of Children Services or Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood).
5+ years of leadership experience, preferably within sector.
Centre Manager experience preferred.
Multisite or multichannel leadership experience preferred.
Passionate belief in the early years care, development and education of children.
Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated P&L accountability.
First Aid and CPR Certificates.
Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
