Interview tips

It's really important to deliver a consistent and positive experience for all candidates, whether they are selected or not.

Make a great first impression

  • Arrive on time and in interview appropriate attire.
  • Come prepared! Have a good understanding of why you have applied to the role and what skills and experience you bring to the team!
  • Be ready to ask questions - interviews are about finding a good match, for both yourself and the hiring manager.

During the interview

  • Try to get to know the person interviewing you a little better. Building a rapport at the start of the interview will help put you at ease and think clearer about your responses.
  • Take your time to think of the right example when responding to questions and remember it's ok to ask your interviewer to repeat or reframe the question if needed.
  • Try to be mindful of body language, we understand interviews can be dauting but try to maintain eye contact and avoid slouching or fidgeting if possible.

After the interview

  • Hopefully you walk away from the interview excited and the role feels like a good fit! Now is a good time to reflect on your interview experience and write down anything you wish to remember.
  • Consider sending a thank you message, note or email to the hiring manager.
  • Send any supporting documents that were requested to the TA team as soon as possible.

Stay positive! The Talent Team will be in contact with you within a few days of the interview to confirm the outcome.
